Amphibious Car Sighting

I forgot to tell you that on the way to Rachelle's house, on the road west of Olympia, we found ourselves behind this.

We had seen one of these at the car museum in Deer Lodge last month.

Jan remembers seeing one of these at Glacier Park many years ago. Apparently the park ranger was in chase and followed the vehicle into the water. The amphibious car turned around in the water and drove back out; the ranger was not successful in following.

They were manufactured for several years in the 60s. Want one? Auction prices ranging from approximately $40K to $60K have been reported.
